Our wedding ceremony, reception, welcome event, and most of our weekend activities will take place in the Sunriver and Caldera Springs communities, so we encourage you to stay at Sunriver Resort (Sunriver, Caldera Springs, or Crosswater).

A Few Important Things to Know


  • 1. How many nights should I book?

    We have activities and celebrations planned throughout the weekend, and we want you there for all of it! We recommend, at minimum, Friday - Sunday, so that you can join us at the welcome event on Friday at 5 PM and be there for the wedding on Saturday. 


  • 2. Check-in and check-out

    Check-in is typically 4:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM—a little earlier than many hotels.



  • 3. Please let us know where you're staying!

    When you book through Sunriver Resort, mention “Bissell-Wilkins Wedding.”

    If you book a vacation rental online, please email Ky at kybissell@me.com with your rental information so we can include it as part of our wedding party and housing minimum.

QUESTIONS

    • Outdoor cocktail, festive attire; long dresses, suits 

    • Guests staying through Sunriver Resort receive complimentary shuttle transportation throughout Sunriver and Crosswater on an individual, on call basis. Due to activity levels during peak season, wait times can range from 10-30 minutes for pickup.

    • There is public parking nearby the Lodge (reception site) available

    • Closest Airport: Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM)

    • Other airport option: Portland Airport (PDX)

    • By car: 

      • Portland to Sunriver: 4 hours by car 

    • By bus: 

      • Portland to Bend 

        • Central Oregon Breeze or Pacific Crest Bus lines

  • Uber & Lyft have extreme surge pricing from Redmond Airport / Bend to Sunriver and are unreliable. We have had many issues in the past of scheduled Ubers be cancelled or extremely upcharged. 

    ◦ We recommend renting a car instead, it will end up being roughly the same price as Ubers & shuttle services.
